Licensing

VoxWave gives you the tools to broadcast. Securing the rights to the music and content you air is your responsibility as the broadcaster. This page explains the split.

Music & performance licensing

If you broadcast music, you generally need the appropriate licenses for both the composition (songwriters/publishers) and the sound recording (performers/labels). These are obtained from the collecting societies and rights organizations that operate where you and your listeners are — for example ASCAP, BMI, SESAC and SoundExchange in the United States, PRS and PPL in the UK, or your national society elsewhere.

VoxWave does not grant, include, or act as a substitute for these licenses. You are responsible for holding the correct licenses for how and where you broadcast, and for any reporting they require.

Content you upload

You must have the rights to everything you upload and broadcast — music, jingles, voice, images and video. By using the Service you confirm you hold those rights. See our Terms for details.

The VoxWave platform

The VoxWave software, brand and platform are owned by us and licensed to you for use through your subscription, subject to the Terms. You may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the platform except where the law expressly allows.

Third-party components

VoxWave is built with open-source and third-party components, each under its own license. Where required, attributions and license notices are provided. Their licenses govern those components.
